I WON! I WON! After eight years of trying and trying to get the DC DMV to simply correct an administrative error, they did. And you know what?
It's the tiniest bit bittersweet.
I mean, this was something I came to almost look forward to. It stopped being about the few bucks a long time ago, and started being all about the challenge of seeing whether I could prevail against a notoriously aggressive bureaucracy (when it comes to raising revenue via motor vehicle citations). I mean, people generally don't fight DC parking citations because you just can never win.
But, I did!
I guess I'll put away my file and stop watching my mailbox for communications from the DC DMV. The hunt is over. I bagged my prey.
Sigh.

Oh, wow...that's like bagging a Snipe or a Yeti...it's...it's...it's monumental! I mean it - they'll be raising a statue to you in the near future. People will ask you to touch their babies and give your blessing!
Congratulations - there are no small victories against bureaucracies.
Shade and Sweetwater,
K

Wow, good job. You have far more endurance and patience than I.
Congratulations on a major win. Now go pour yourself some wine and celebrate.

YAY! Congrats. I'm going to miss your letters--just a little bit :)

Cool, looks like something good happened. I'm only guessing because I embiggened the letter and got to "Dear Ms." and had to quit. I don't have your resolve, it seems. My brain went all ''*'*'''*''' on me. Think Woodstock the bird.
CONGRATULATIONS!
